Think Before You Vote

This is not a political blog, but I feel everyone who is of voting age needs to think about the coming (2008) presidential election.

I am an Independent. I was raised in a family of Democrats. I registered as a Republican after I became an adult and married. However, neither party has every truly represented my personal beliefs. And this has become even more apparent in recent years. [Read more →]

What Does God Want From You?

During one of my ’quiet moments,’ the question came to me — what does it take to really know God? Is there anything we must do to experience the reality of the Infinite Spirit/God-Force?

The Freakin’ Nut

Ohmigosh! I just read the greatest story! Actually, it’s a parable, but whatever you want to call it, you simply MUST go to this website and read it for yourself: www.freaknnut.com.

The message is awesome! And if you don’t ‘get it,’ you need to get out in the sunshine more often. :-)

John Harricharan Videos

Are you familiar with John Harricharan? He’s the author of such books as “Power Pause,” “When You Can Walk on Water, Take the Boat,” and “Morning Has Been All Night Coming.”

He’s also a person that is very interested in spirituality and personal transformation.

Recently, he has teamed up with A. Vishwanath (who refers to himself as Vish-Writer) and created the website, Spiritual-Simplicity.com.

They also have a blog on which they have posted some thought-provoking videos. I urge you to visit and watch the one where Yanik Silver interviews John, but you’ll benefit by watching all of them.

Tony Snow’s “Sterner Teacher”

In yesterday’s paper, a syndicated columnist wrote about Tony Snow, the White House Press Secretary, and his battle with cancer. He said that Tony made this statement, ” when you’re faced with death, you don’t really die, you get to go to a cooler place with maybe a sterner teacher.” (italics mine)

What’s wrong with this statement? [Read more →]
